Buddy Goes Missing

It was like a story out of the National Enquirer - Yesterday morning, part way through his saucer of Fancy Feast, Buddy vanished. He did not come when called. He was not found under the living room chairs or dining room table. He was not under the bed, in the computer room or in the basement. Find Buddy! the human urged the kittens, to no avail. Was it an alien abduction? Was he kitnapped by faeries (although they did not leave a changeling in his place). Unwilling to leave the house with Buddy uncounted, the human resorted to catnip, and there he was, right in the middle of the hallway, with that Whaaat? look on his little face. Oh, well, it was a happy ending, especially because everybody got catnip...
