Back

Well, after several really hectic work days, and one really lazy day at home - reading in bed, surrounded by cats and kittens / reading on the couch, surrounded by other cats and kittens, etc. - we should account for ourselves. At least, somewhat: When the human, paying bills at the dining room table, stops to play with AreToo, Cyrrie comes running - only to be heartbroken when the pen turns out to be... not food. When Cloud looks up at beloved big brother Buddy and stretches magnificantly in his honor, she catches her claw in the platform rocker and - most ignominously - has to be rescued by the human. When AreToo and Angel perform spectacular feats of arobatics involving various door frames, the human thinks about the Moscow Cat Circus, but doesn't mention stardom under the bigtop as a possible career...

Acrobatics of our own this morning: Kai, limp as a ragdoll, falls over onto the cold linoleum of the kitchen floor as soon as I emerge from the bedroom. Lying on his side, he luxuriously elongates his entire body. He stretches his head in one direction and his toes in another, til he's made a perfect crescent shape there on the floor. Sooo impressive!
