Sharing A Bathroom With Kittens

I.
The first time the human came home to a roll of toilet paper turned into confetti it was funny. (Mostly.) (Sort of.) The second time it was more, Oh, dear, not again...! The third time it was, through gritted teeth, IAGTTC! So now we have a tea towell thwart device wrapped tightly around the toilet paper, and Angel just betrayed himself when he popped up on the toilet lid and confronted the thwart...
II.
The human is putting on makeup when little Cloud comes in to pee. That takes her maybe 30 seconds. What follows is a long dramatic cover up process - scuff-scuff here, scuff-scuff there, scuff-scuff the wall, reach outside the box to scuff-scuff the floor, then start over. It takes - well - it seems to take forever - and when she's finally finished, there's the little damp spot of kitty litter, entirely untouched...

Sounds like our demented when it comes to toilet manners felines! The boy (how typical) will dig, point his rear in the wrong direction, go, miss, (and often on the floor outside the box) then spend 20 minutes burying an empty hole... The Girl will dig the hole do her thing then jump out, and scratch the floor for a few moments, never touching the litter, then run off leaving everything exposed... Oh well... They were raised in the jungle after all...

I use a broom to sweep up around the box, then grab my scoop to go box-scavenging. As soon as I'm done, Meera, who has been lurking behind me the whole time, jumps in and starts pawing through the litter. Not to do anything, just to mess around. I think she just prefers her hills and mountains to the carefully raked Zen garden I create.

Bandicoot, in his misspent youf, decided he was going to be An Ahtist when he grew up. He figured out how to turn on the bathroom sink on his ownself, and I came home one day to find the bathroom floor sticky and wet with an entire roll of toilet paper shredded to confetti and artistically patted down onto the black and white linoleum. Aren't I clever? the boy's expression seemed to say, as he admired on his Art Project.
