I'm late putting out my Autumn-themed rug and door decoration and gourds would add an interesting touch!
Hi, Sandy - My gourds actually came from our local farmers' market this year, but I did some some in the supermarket the other day... (It's times like this that I miss the Franks Nursery chain!)
I went to our local farmers' market this afternoon to look for gourds and was reminded why I do most of my shopping at Costco. A couple of years ago I saw something on the internet that portrayed farmers' markets as the place where low income families could find bargains on produce. Apparently either that no longer applies or Culver City is not far enough away from Beverly Hills and Century City for the prices to be realistic.
I'll check out my local supermarket (and maybe Costco, too)!
