Today Blogging

This Morning
Angel was in jumping-jack mode, which is always entertaining: he'd race down the hall and then jump as high as possible up against a door frame. It's actually amazing how high they can jump when they're in the mood...
Tonight
I brought some stuff down from the attic just now, and knew that there would be "kittens" and perhaps even cats up the stairs before I could stop them. Ok. After about 20 min, I rattled the door knob and opened the door. And down they came: Banshee, Cloud, Cyrrie, Angel and, finally, AreToo. When you get them all down the first time around, you know it's cold. (And kudos to Petunia, Lucy and Buddy for clearly demonstrating their superior intellects!)

I hope your little family is staying as warm and snug as can be! Winter storm is pounding our shores, trees down, power down (but not, thank the PTB, for me), kitties snoring softly nearby.

Not to get all political, but I really hoped Kucinich would win Iowa. It was not to be. Dodd would've been good, too. I'm resigned to the idea that Edwards is more electable. Sigh.

Love to democats 'n kittens everywhere.

Hi, PC - I've actually been thinking about (and praying for) the people in CA who are up against this scary weather. (Scary, scary, scary...) I'm glad to know you and your babes are ok. It's gotten up into the 40's here today - I went straight from a new student orientation at my college to my weekly protest - it was a long hour in fashion boots, but when you're carrying a "support the troops, bring them home" sign, you can hang in there for an hour, I've found. I had 3 people in my library let me know that when they took one of those who's-your-candidate-quizzes, they aligned with Dennis! But the msn is determined to make him invisible, alas...

Hi, PC and Lizzy!

So far, here in the Palms/Culver City area of Los Angeles, we seem to be o.k. I'm hoping the rain keeps coming to end the drought, but hope it doesn't cause problems for people who live in the burn areas (mud slides, etc.) I've never seen or heard the wind rattle my living room windows so much as the other night.

Hope you two had a wonderful New Year's Eve with cats and kittens.

Lizzy, what a wonderful thing you're doing to be part of a weekly demonstration. I think I'm with you both about the candidates. But the ones I seem to like always seem to be out of the mainstream vote.

It's been a bit of a stressful time - the last couple of months - I haven't always had the energy to make comments, but I often drop by the appreciate your lovely photos and amusing comments.

All the best for a wonderful happy and healthy New Year that brings the best kind of political change to our country.

Glad you're safe Sandy! And Lizzy, my compliments on your brave stand (boots 'n all) in support of those poor people being killed and maimed for someone else's vanity and lies. If I weren't so gimpy I'd be out there on the lines too. But the pain's too much most days for walking let alone standing.

I took that quiz, and aligned with Dennis too! I wish he were our President! At last, a politician I could really respect.

Best wishes to you both and to all the furries. Bandicoot is, alas, still very unwell. I'm starting him on home-cooked food and yoghurt tomorrow. The antibiotics have not been good for him.

Sandy and PoliticalCat - It's good to hear from both of you. We're having more crazy weather here - it's up in the '60's, with flood warnings posted. I hope you're both still safe and snug. And I will be protesting for you both! Next Sat, in addition to my vintage Peace Now and my CodePink button, I will pin on a cat for each of you! Love and kisses and sweet talk to poor little Bandicoot - I just hate to think he's still poorly... Love to all!
