This blog is the ongoing story of nine-hundred and twenty-two cats, including kittens. We consider on a near daily basis the poetics of cat sensibility - the wit, brilliance, elegance and magic of catdom. We try to ignore hairballs and their sound effects.

But she fakes it so well. Isn't it nice, Lizzy, that even the heavens decided to give you a birfday present? A lunar eclipse? Hope your birfday was thoroughly enjoyable.
Too overcast here to see anything (not that there was anything to see, really).
Lizzy, I just woke up for a few minutes and realized that I hadn't checked the internet when I got home and missed your birfday!!!!
I SAW the lunar eclipse! It was magnificent and how wonderful that it was on your special day!!! A friend called me on my cell phone (marvelous inventions!) to remind me. I was driving my car and was able to find a place to stop and watch it for minutes on end. Eerie and weird and spine tingling. And there was all the rest of the world driving around and all the people doing whatever else they were doing, blindly unaware of the magnificence going on up above them. How blase we've become since the days when this event would have warranted sacrifices to the gods in ancient times before science opened our eyes to the mundane world around us.
Hope your day was filled with love and laughter, balloons and cake, and 922 cats and kittenz celebrating like mad.
Poor Lizzy worked late on her birfday! But we had a virtual party for her wiv silly pitchers over on my blog and also Wyan blog, wiv cake. Plus, she got the eclipse, which is a truly triff present.
