Is It A Girl Thing?
I
Early this morning, as I sat and drank my coffee, Cloud came to claim her "quality time" with her human. She brushed against my legs, and I scooped her up, and she sat on my lap enjoying her full due of petting and sweet-talk. Enter the Droid. I tried to shield her eyes, but AreToo announced his presence musically. Cloud chirped, and AreToo, instead of departing as directed, sang again, Pay attention to me, too! Trill, trill. Outraged, enraged, she shrieked once, took off like a little rocket, and disappeared, so the human had no choice but to pet the Droid instead.II
Just now the human came home. Standing on the dark porch, I could make out the Clouding on the inside of the dining room window. Tap. Tap. Tap tap. Tap, and I could tell that Cloud was enjoying the attention. Then Cyrrie arrived, and, even worse, Angel, and then Cloud was pummeling Angel, and the human was saying Be sweet, be good! as she hurried to unlock the door. Angel seems undamaged, but Cloud as of this moment is still sulking...

Sigh. Gojira Helen Wheels decided, after the abused Gustav came to live with us, that he meant to eat her. Therefore, she needed a safe spot on the bed. Which meant, of course, a Pillow Of Her Own at the head of the bed. And how she cries if anyone, human or feline touches her pillow!
In between, she swears roundly at Gustav. Dreadful language. I've told her time and time out of mind that he's a bit hard of vision and has to smell his fellows from up close to tell who he's talking to, but no. He is NOT to come near Her Highness or look at Her Pillow.
And the tales (tails?) I could tell of Faridah!
The boys don't much seem to mind being beaten. She beats them all quite regularly. They don't respond much. Like Cloud, she is very little, and they, of course, are large and thickly-furred.
More support of the theory, from The Huffington Post:
"The little girl, Pearlcat, is the meanest. She is the one who always acts as if she's never seen me before and has to split before I do something evil to her. The boys tend to start fights with neighbor cats but never finish them."
