Such good little troopers, helping their hoomin enjoy mousie-chasing!
The news is better. Dad's off the respirator and recovering nicely. Mum's still breathless and on oxygen but has her wits about her and is amusing doctor and nurses by referring to herself as "the pincushion."
Our flu has now turned into a horrendous cough, but we have turned the corner and are on the road to recovery.

I squooshed them all and said, "This is from your Auntie Lizzy." Luckily, they're too whacked from the heat (we're having a fiendish hot spell to replace last week's cold spell) to protest much. Zingiber actually got off the bed, complaining bitterly, and waddled about four steps before plunking down. The others refuse to move.
Hope you are all staying as warm/cool as you wanna be. Off to cough my lungs out now.
