Cat Fight
I hate to tattle on them, but, for whatever reason, this morning Aretoo and Angel had a serious spat. The noise level / content was different, and when I clapped at them they just kept at it. Angel was getting the worst of it (right, all AreToo had to do was sit on him) and when I tried to pry them apart still nothing happened. This was because Aretoo's claw was seriously stuck in Angel's side. Mom cuddled the poor little thing for a long time, while the poor little thing himself seemed confused by the fuss. Shortly thereafter all was back to normal, including, of course, Angel pouncing on poor little thing Cyrrie...

Poor little ... hmm, never mind. Although I hope AreToo's claw doesn't cause a problem for Angel in future. I often tell Zingiber to sit on Gustav when the latter's getting too rambunctious. With a 14-lb difference in weight between the two, I'm not taking bets on who would win a fight. Gustav is very good at The Intimidating Stare, though. Maybe he should be giving lessons to Angel, no, wait, Cyrrie ... never mind.
anele - it's got to be something biological.
I'm concerned about the claw wound, too - which I could not find to eyeball - but I will be watching Angel closely - well, I always him closely, for all kinds of reasons - but even closer than that for a while... So little Gustav is an expert eye-baller, though not for medical purposes, one assumes. Hug him for me, anyway, and Zingiber, and, oh, why stop there? How are you feeling today, TPC? I'm hoping it's better and better everyday!
Yes, got to admit it's getting better, it's getting better all the time. %^D I made grilled catfish with ginger and lime zest today, and a delicious pilau with tiny diced carrots, fried potatoes, basmati rice, green peas, and cumin seeds. If you were living here I'd have had you to dinner, it was so good, I just wanted to share it with someone. I'll give you the recipe instead and get to enjoy it again virtually whenever you decide to cook it.
I hugged all the little beastlies and told them it was from their Aunt Lizzy (hmph? gzzzzzt was the order of their response).
I read a wonderful book today, titled Lunyata acheiq, Burmese Court Textiles. What beautiful fabrics, handwoven, hand-dyed in natural colours! It thrilled me so much! I long to get a copy, but can't afford to spend the money right now. Available on Amazon, if you feel like spending. Gorgeous. I do love beautiful things.
Your degree is in art, isn't it? Or art history, I forget. Anyway. Had to share that with you. A kiss for Angel's claw injury and a light tap of reprimand on AreToo's nosestripe.
I mean, of course, the other degree, was that a bachelor's, or a double Masters' in Library Science and Art History?
syclers today, and green, for resyclers, I guess.
