Other Things We Did On "Our" Day Off

"We"

1. did admonish Buddy that the practice of ambushing is, if not actually prohibited, at least seriously discouraged;
2. were very surprised when, as we sat reading (The Haunted Bookshop, Christopher Morely, 1919, very sweet), a cat moved onto the our lap and snuggled in, and, when we moved the book and looked , it turned out to be Cyrrie! who has never lap-sat before;
3. finally, absent-mindedly, put the book down, and then Banshee sat on it and we had to give up reading (for a while)...
