This blog is the ongoing story of nine-hundred and twenty-two cats, including kittens. We consider on a near daily basis the poetics of cat sensibility - the wit, brilliance, elegance and magic of catdom. We try to ignore hairballs and their sound effects.

Those little lovies - so sweet and good (and the laundry is getting a workout, for sure).
Hi, sandy-la 90034! I admit I had qualms about posting that pic - everyone will know what a terrible housekeeper I am! But I rationalize this way: It all has to be washed again anyway (there's nothing like a washcloth complete with a faceful of cat hair!), so I'm just letting them enjoy until then... I should probably get them a blankie for under the rocker, since they seem to be liking it there so much!
No, not a terrible housekeeper -- just a superlative human to kittens. I used to do that too -- leave out laundry for the two Siamese to cuddle in -- I was tickled by their sweetness, all curled together. Loved those boys. But I'm allergic to cats (THAT's why I had such bad asthma when I had the cats - I attributed it to smoking, which probably didn't help.)
At a recent cat show I saw a beautiful cat called a Siberian, from Russia, that supposedly doesn't trigger allergies in humans. However, I won't be getting another cat soon: first, I'm now in a pet-free apartment complex, and second, Siberian kittens sell for $1,200.
That's why I can have a vicarious love affair with various internet cats and satisfy my need for cats in my life (for the moment, anyway).
I don't think anyone can live with 922 cats (and kittens) and keep house simultaneously. There are just too many opportunities for felinquency.
