It was such a beautiful day (and night) that the human decided to open the bedroom window for a bit... Cloud got there first; the queue at this moment is Cyrrie, the A boys, Banshee and Buddy - Petunnia and Lucy not yet seen... (Think Spring!)

My two boys never went outside and we didn't have any window wells in the apartment, but a tall dresser in the bedroom looked out the window to the apartment next door. Not much to see, but at least a few birds flew by.
Patiently waiting for your time in the window is an old family tradition. It was well established when Cloud and Cyrrie came on board as babes, and they caught on (eventually). As the weather gets better, we'll see how the next generation manages (they were good last night, but the window wasn't open very long).
Mine get to go out and play on the hill, because we have such a big hill and the little tiny road is a long way down. Only Madu ever goes down to the road, the eejit. But mostly, they lie about in the sun, and climb trees, and chase squirrels. It makes the montly mortgage payments worthwhile to see them happy and free.
