This blog is the ongoing story of nine-hundred and twenty-two cats, including kittens. We consider on a near daily basis the poetics of cat sensibility - the wit, brilliance, elegance and magic of catdom. We try to ignore hairballs and their sound effects.

Angel has a bull's eye! These are beautiful creatures. Elegant lines and beautiful coats.
I can just see them roaring through the house, chasing each other. My two Siamese often did that. Some of my memories of them are fading with time (damn!). I do recall the wrastling, especially when the kitten Ramses was added to the mix. But later on I can't remember if they still wrastled with each other. I know they groomed each other and curled around each other to sleep. My sweet little boys. Miss them still.
I prefer to think Angel has curly wings! ;^) They are gorgeous, aren't they? Chocolate caramel cocoa cream puffs. But with the disposition of demons. Oh, Sandy, I wish you could have kitties! You sound like a perfect kitty parent!
Political Cat!
Thanks for your good wishes. A bunch of people are encouraging me lately. I may look into it for when I need to move out of this place (I've been here 10 years, but the rent is over $900 now and that's more than half my income.) I'm going to start looking for senior housing. It may actually take me awhile to make that happen, so I'll check into shots, etc.
The other worry I have is the enormous cost of vet bills (as Lizzy has mentioned recently)!
In the meantime, I enjoy Lizzy's 922, NTodd's gang, Jeffraham's Curly and sweet LE, your wonderful babes and the irresistible Madeleine and Ms. Chainsaw. Not to mention I have the honor of being the step-human to The Right Honorable Sir Chumley of Amherst, one of the sweetest, funniest feline creatures on this earth.
Sandy, if I may be so bold, I have often hoped for you that you could come into the company of a cat again. You are so appreciative of their finer qualities, and you always impress me as such a warm and loving person. I think any kitty would be lucky to come into your care.
Really truly.
Dear Sandy, I hope you won't think I'm being too rude or forward, but if and when you decided to adopt a furball, I would be very honored to take care of his/her vet bills. We really ought to agitate for senior/shared housing that allowed for beasties! I'm senior enough to want it for myself.
Wow! You guys are just great! Thanks for the encouragement.
Thank you Political Cat for your generous offer!
Thank you Mismn for your kind thoughts!
I often have work-related nightmares (diminishing as time passes, thank goodness), which is one of the reaons I'm on disability. But this morning, even though there were some of the usual work issues in my dream, I was carrying around a beautiful purring kitty, which alleviated much of the stress!
I seem to be on track, at least subconsciously, to getting a kitten of my own sometime in the future!
Oh, Wonderful! Sandy, So many times I read your comments and ache for you to have a cat! I would love to have you in a pet friendly place with a (two are always better) kitten, and, when the time comes, we can set up a vetz fund! You need a kitty to love, and there are kitties out there who would love to be loved by you... (I also love Curly and LarryElvis and Maddie and Ripley, but now I have to go hunt down NTodd - how could I have missed that?)

P.S. Oops! Didn't work. I'll have to check back with Jeff to find out what I did wrong!
Ack!! I did it right at Jeff's, but don't know what was right!!
