It's hot , and humid - so the windows are closed and the air is noisily on. And yet the fireworks are loud, louder, loudest... And, irritated though I am on behalf of my babes, all of a sudden I think of Bagdad, and Iraq in general, and well....

Even if our little darlings suffer, it must be a million times worse being an animal in Baghdad right now. I locked mine in for the night. They were not amused, as it was very hot here, and we don't have "air."
