Setting A Bad Example For The "Kittens"

Late last night there was a commotion at the foot of the bed (Growlhissssscreeech!). The human sat up quickly(Begoodbesweet!), fully expecting to find Angel and Cloud at it again. Instead, there's Petunnia being furious with Buddy - You Two! Is this anyway to behave after all these years?

LOL!

Just out of curiosity, how many of the 922 cats and kittens join you each night? You must need a king-size bed!

You'd think they'd know better by now! They must be kissed immeiately. It's the only way to teach them anything.

Sandy, my five can't fit into my Ca. King bed - all night long, there's snoring, grumbling, growling, hissing, sometimes outright fighting over choice spots. And the poor humans get squashed into the corners and wake up with aches and pains all over.

Mine seem to take turns - Petunnia sleeps on the pillow next to me most nights, but sometimes Angel and/or AreToo get there first. Cyrrie, Buddy and Lucy also show up regularly, with Banshee coming on board occasionally and Cloud hardly ever (which makes me very sad - when she and Cyrrie were THE kittens, they both slept on top of me all the time) (and how's that for a run-on sentence?). And as for the state of my bed! When we moved in here - me and 3 cats - we came from an apartment and a single bed to a full-size bed - and Mouse took the middle! I've slept on the very edge ever since. Mattress is a total wreck and so is my back!

These days, Kai takes over the tea cart from about 10 pm until who-knows-when. He stays away from the bed at night for some reason (at least lately).
Meera always keeps me company as I stretch out on the bed to read before turning out the light. She drapes herself over the edge of the foot of the bed, and I go to sleep at an angle so I don't disturb her, but she's always gone by morning.

And Wicket is always making mischief as I drift off. Loud mischief. Usually he comes to me in the middle of the night. I know he comes because he has a very distinctive snuffle. He snuffles in my ear, and then in my hair. And then he chews my hair.
