Today

I.

Inconsistent as always, after closing the attic until Spring, the human let them go up the stairs today. And they did, up and down, all day... At one point, Cloud started up the stairs, then paused; Cyrrie, behind her, was clearly frustrated, and just as clearly determined to push on past. Cloud was like, Just you try, as she hefted her smacking paw in preparation. Then, unexpectedly, Buddy pushed past them both, and, although as poised to poised to strike as any little snake could have been, Cloud sweetly let her beloved Buddy go by quite unscathed...

II.

Later, in the kitchen, the human cleaned the fountain. First she had to tote the nearly full thing to the sink, all the way across the kitchen floor. Angel was, not unusually, right underfoot, and the human tried to warn him, Angel, if it slops over, you'll get splashed. Well, of course it slopped over, and Angel, splashed as he was, was completely ok with it. As a matter of fact, it gave him ideas, and he spent the next half hour playing in the kitchen and bathroom water bowls. Managed to make quite a mess, too, bless his little paws...
