Hemp Milk
When 'Toonya seemed to like my vanilla flavored hemp milk, I thought it might be good for her to have a little everyday. So this morning I put a teaspoonful in a saucer and took it to her on the couch. And she did like it, and drink it! The hard part was fending off the 3 "kittens" who think that everything on a plate belongs them...

It's probably good for her, too.
Oh, Lizzy, why didn't you tell me my painstaking link to you didn't work? I don't always check these things myself (bad kitty!), and clearly I should. At any rate, it's Blogroll Amnesty Celebration Weekend, so I re-added and relinked. Will you please add me to your blogroll now?
Bandicoot sends sticky purrs (don't ask).
Hi, PC - oh, my dear, I am such a novice blogger - after all these years - that I assumed it was a temporary glitch... Also, as you probably noticed, I haven't linked to anyone, ever, although I would like to. The reason? Blush, blush, I don't know HOW, and, just like my students, I am often averse to learning. I did, however, putter about Blogger for half an hour or so today - is the template I should be looking in to set up a link list? Love to Bandicoot and all, and you really MUST explain the sticky purrs...!
Hi, Lizzy!
To add other bloggers to your blogroll, go to this cool little tool. It's easy to sign up, and then you can go to your browser (hopefully it's Firefox) and click View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar. Then you drag the little Blogroll It! icon onto your bookmars toolbar and whenever you visit a site you like, just click Blogroll It! and fill in the name of the site and click Add Link. You needn't fill in anything else.
The next part is slightly more difficult. You go back to Blogrolling and log in (unless you're already logged in, in which case you) click Get Code. The second heading on that page is Javascript. Underneath it is a link that says Click to select code. Click it, press Control-C to copy it, then log in to Blogger and click the Template or Layout link. On the right side of the page that displays, click the first Edit button under HTML/Javascript. A new window pops up. Add two paragraph tags under the most recent entry (left_angle_bracket-p-right_angle_bracket), then press Control-V to paste the code you copied. Click Save Changes and the popup window should disappear. Click the Preview button at the top right hand corner of the Blogger page, and Blogger will pop up a new tab showing you your blog main page with the brand new blogroll! Click Save or Clear Edits, and you're done with that part. There is another step, but you might be a little nervous, and need a rest. Goodness knows, even with two HTML references, I managed to make a royal mess of one of my blogs today.
Bandicoot thanks you for your love. Sticky purrs, he says, are caused by excessive kitty snot which makes him sneeze and snore most horribly. It's also changed the quality of his purrs, and as he places his sweet round head on my knee for a scratching, his purrs leave sticky little marks on my trousers. Poor child! And he so hates being locked in! But it's raining cats, dogs, and little children out there, and I won't have him getting ill again. Daily wipes and all your good thoughts have made his eyes all better, although the right one still runs occasionally. Since I have a cold too, we sit together staring at each other with runny eyes and noses and commiserate.
Thank you, PoliticalCat, and Oy! I will try this in the morning when I am feeling braver... And even more love to Bandicoot! And you, too, of course, poor dear....
PoliticalCat, Help! I got as far as Click Template or Layout - I clicked Template - I couldn't find Layout, although I'd swear I saw something like that the other day... Anyway, in Template, I had a left side tab Edit HTML, but nothing on the right at all. When I clicked Edit, no new window popped up. So I never even got to the HTML scary part - I am shamefully ignorant there...
Aha! This means you're using an older version of Blogger (which is good - I am too, for TPC). So you click Template because the old version doesn't have the Layout clickable.
Next you scroll all the way down till you see an HTML tag that says left_angle_bracket_p id="powered-by"_right_angle_bracket followed by a line of code.
Position your cursor under that line of code (you might want to add a couple of paragraph tags - the letter p between two angle brackets) and press Control-V to paste the code that you copied from Blogrolling's site.
Then click the navy-blue Preview button. If it looks good in the new browser window that Firefox displays, go back to the Template browser window, click save, then open a new browser window with your blog URL, and enjoy the results!
We'll do it yet, Lizzy! You can always write me at thepoliticalcat at gmail dot com for help.
I screwed up again, alas... I will take your instructions in to work and ask my office-mate tomorrow (an html expert) if he can fix it for me... Bandicoot: psychic hugs and kisses!
