We're Back

We were truly off-line for about a day and a half - yesterday morning I thought it was the internet connection, but last night I realized it was the land-line that was out. It got fixed sometime after 1:30 this afternoon (that was when the telecom guy knocked on my door) but when I finally got home tonight, still no dsl... After jumping through all sorts of "help" hoops, I gave up and called the guy in India, bless him. And here we are!

In most ways, I feel I've outgrown my astrological era (my twenties and thirties), but not when it comes to Mercury retrogrades. I read where Mercury went retrograde Jan. 28th and it goes direct again Feb. 19th.

It's probably coincidence, but I've noticed communications glitches in life situations such as my telephone land-line going dead a couple of evenings ago (and my prepaid minutes were down to 7), friends who forgot to listen to voice messages and missed appointments, going to appointments and the person involved couldn't see me unexpectedly.

The odd good thing about it is that since I'm aware it's a possibility, I'm more sanguine (so far) about it when it happens. With the Mercury retrograde in mind, when I found out on voice-mail that I missed a call from my aunt, I made a special effort to call her back (she was worried about my mom).

At least it's fun to blame the glitches on something other than fate.
