Egyptian Basil And Mint
I have either excema or psoriasis - no definitive diagnosis - a bad patch on my right wrist and additional patches on my knees. I've put more stuff on it than I can list - including a wonderfully effective prescription salve that turned out to be carcinogenic. Lately I've been using an organic product that the guys don't mind the smell of, and that, since it's "food quality", I feel safe petting them after I use it... And it's soothing and my skin looks better!

Oh, Lizzy, you poor thing! This on top of the sinus problems is too much. Take care and know healing vibes are coming your way from this direction.
Hi, Sandy - Thank you - Bless you - I didn't mean to sound so whiny! I've lived with this for a while, now, and am really pleased with the new stuff (Pangea, actually - it's pricey, but I'm starting to think it's worth it). (And it does smell good...)
Is it chronic plaque psoriasis? Infection, as well as cold winter weather, are two known triggers.
Of course, stress is a trigger for most dermatitis, but psoriasis is now linked with arthritis as an autoimmune problem.
Common wisdom &mdash no cite, unfortunately &mdash has it that psoriasis/eczema/dermatitis can be triggered by coffee. I wish there were some scientific evidence for it, but can't find any.
I'm glad you found cat-safe meds. I have to admit to being very reluctant to use anything that might impact their health, given how much time I spend touching and petting and yes, kissing, the little horrors.
Hi, PC - I think it must be chronic, since I've had it for quite a while, now - but I am amazed by how helpful this new lotion is...
