Post Panic Blogging

All afternoon 'Toonya snoozed on the top of the couch, and as the light changed she came to glow in the reflected light from the green gold fabric... Imagine my horror when, after visiting the grandhuman, I came home to indulge them all in FancyFeast, and there was no Petunnia... This was quite unheard of - and the longer she was missing, the worse my panic. I looked everywhere - under the dining room table, under the couch, under the bed, the chairs, the book case, in the closets - no 'Toonya. I went upstairs, downstairs, outside, upstairs, downstairs, outside again. The rest of the guys were getting so nervous they were put off their FancyFeast. Many nightmare scenarios played out in my brain. Finally I went upstairs again, and there she was, lounging on an old trunk, yawning becomingly, looking not in the least sick or injured. It will take me hours to get over this, but everyone else is nom noming their interrupted FF....

Product Placement

Is there anything more gratifying than finding a previously totally ignored toy dug up out of the toy basket and left in the middle of the living room? Even better if it goes, Squeak! and you step on it and it scares you to death...!

Ouch!

Just now in the bathroom I turned around and ran my shin right into an anvil - but when had I acquired an anvil, and why had I left it in the middle of the bathroom floor? Oh, it was AreToo! I'm sure I will be bruised. I don't think AreToo even noticed...

Bummer Blogging

On Thursday I lost a bunch of pictures - I [thought I] had transferred them from the camera to Picasa, and so deleted them from the camera - only to realize that - for whatever reason - there was no new folder in Picasa... This is the second time I've done this! (Bad language did happen: hisssz!)

Half Flood Day Blogging

I came home unexpectedly early today, and was so charmed by my baby boyz (Cyrrie, Angel, AreToo), who staggered into the living room barely awake, but they still wanted to greet their human and get some hugs and kisses...

On Sale Blogging

Yesterday, when I found the FancyFeast on sale at the supermarket, I bought 25 cans, but left behind 24 for other little Flaked Fish and Shrimp fanciers. Today I went back - I figured the other humans had had their chance...

Bat Blogging

This morning as I sat at the computer, there was a sudden movement among the beanybaby bats - the little middle bat was unexpectedly independent of the other 2. That would have been a bit creepy, if I had not noticed a little paw reaching up from behind the desk (it was a lovely little paw, all softly olive-brown, if that's a hint).

Weird Blogging

I had a lot of trouble posting the second (Pod) picture, and I hope it won't evaporate like the one of Cyrrie did (I'll try to repost that). I took a bunch of the boys this morning, because I don't often get to see them cuddle the way they did when they were bebbies, and it was way sweet (unfortunately, most of the pics were not post-worthy).

Ear Blogging

It happened again. Early this morning when Angel was "loving me to death" again, I felt a claw connect with my unprotected ear. I dived under cover and stayed there while he wore himself out with the hysterical kneading/purring, etc. And then I went back to sleep. When I finally got to a mirror, my ear was covered with dried blood, and there is now quite the scab - thank goodness I have long hair!

Breakfast Blogging

We don't usually have cereal or even milk in the house, but because I bought it for my friend's visit I was eating cereal this morning at the dining room table. With company, of course. Cyrrie and Cloud were right there, Cyrrie watching closely but Cloud tapping oh so gently with her tiny soft paw. Tap my hand, tap the spoon, tap the bowl, tap tap gently gently right up until Cyrrie got too close to her and POW! Eventually I had to get 2 extra bowls and give them their own (mostly milky) breakfast... (I know you're not really supposed to give them milk - it was 1% - does that make a difference?)

Ethics Blogging

I came home tonight prepared to enlist dirty tricks (i.e., FancyFeast) if necessary in order to achieve an full and accurate accounting of cats and "kittens" - instead, it was AreToo, Banshee, Buddy, Lucy, Cyrrie, Angel, Cloud and - last, but not certainly least, 'Toonya - all 922, safe and sound... So, what to do about the FF? Oh, ok, it was FF for all, and, Yay, say happy and full Cats and "Kittens"....

Where Are They Update

Before I left for work, I went upstairs: Banshee, Aretoo, Cyrrie, Buddie, Angel, Lucy... It was so hot I lasted about 30 seconds, but they seemed perfectly fine. I decided to trust that Cloud and 'Toonya were also enjoying the sauna-like qualities of the attic, and headed out. At least a couple of pictures will follow...

Where Are They?

When you live with 922 cats and "kittens" you'd expect to see a few when you're home all morning...

Sorry, All

I've been feeling bad about/for people and things, and my blogging energy kind of lapsed. Tomorrow I promise there will be news of the guys. In the meantime, please send you love/energy toward the mourning, whoever it is that they mourn, now or in the past...

Sweet Blogging

Early this morning the human was topping off the crunchies bowls, including the one on the table. Cloud was already there, elegantly sprawled on a blanky, when Angel arrived. He put his nose in the bowl and his admittedly adorable little butt in her face. I was sure that a smacking was inevitable, but no, Cloud never so much as twitched, and Angel, as usual, was completely oblivious...

Real Friendship

When you don't have to lie about cats on the dining room table (Oh, he/she has never done anything like this before...)

Well, Heck

I had just taken a couple of pretty cute pics when, of course, the batteries died. Again.

The Droid has occupied the pillow the human put down to keep him/them from scratching at the closed bedroom door - stubborn doesn't begin to say it...
