Nervous-Making
I
This morning strange sounds were coming from the dining room. When the human arrived, Cloud was standing in the window well, and it took the poor human a minute or so to realize that the tiny Cloudling was actually stuck by multiple claws to the window screen, with her little paws crossed in a strange position. The human lifted her up to see if she could free herself, but not, so the human had to do it for her and it took a while. (Cloud was very good about not panicking.)

This afternoon when the human went out on the porch to feed a squirrel, she was shocked to realize that AreToo had come with her. (AreToo was shocked, too.)

Poor little Cloudita! It wasn't too traumatic, I hope? I rub her little ears. That happens to Bandicoot a lot, or did till we gave him a much-needed claw-clipping.
Oh, AreToo! Did you give him a talking-to? Silly droid, whatever would his mamma do if he panicked and ran off?
Hi, PoliticalCat! I am definitely deficient in the claw clipping department, but perhaps this will provide motivation for me... As for AreToo, he scampered back in all by himself as soon as the door was open! (My heart thudded for a long while after, however.)
I know what you mean! Because we're lucky enough to live in a place that's a schlep from the road, and because our babes just love being out in the sunshine and fresh air on the hill, we've always let them out to enjoy. But come evening, we count noses and if anyone isn't in promptly at dinnertime, your correspondent stays up, anxious, gimpily roaming the hillside with flashlight and cane, calling their names.
Of course, the little devils just love to cause anxiety in their hoomin, and are often discovered snoring under a favourite plant after hours of calling and handwringing and worry.
Naughty droid. That's going in his guest post next Caturday.
I've had the same thing happen in a totally indoors situation, coming home to a missing babe, going through total panic, only to finally notice her/him calmly watching me from some unusual vantage point with a look that says, Really, what's wrong with her??
