Very Sad News
Her human finally learned from a neighbor that Tuffy was hit by a car and killed on the day she disappeared. He is, of course, desolate, and my heart aches for both of them - an extraordinarally loving little person, gone way too early from this world.

I was afraid of that. That's how I lost Mephisto, too. Dear little Tuffy, what made her wander out like that. Please extend my condolences to your neighbour. She will return, as we all do, in another form, needing his love, care, and shelter.

I'm so sorry for being such a selfish, self-centered pig. All I could think of was my beloved Mephisto.
Poor Michael. Poor Tuffy. I've been suffering for them all day, but it's not about me, it's about them. Poor little Tuffster.
