If It's Not One Thing It's Another

Future porch can't be enclosed - mixed feelings about that. And now, something is leaking... Roof? Only 2 yrs old. Windows? Ancient/cheap/yucky. What to do, what to do? Cats and "kittens" say, Not to worry, HumanGirl! And you know, really, they're right...

Cats and "kittens" are right. Not to worry. Look for the source of the leak — if it's the roof, it's bound to be still under warranty; or it might be something as simple as leaves blocking the rain gutters, which someone could climb up and remove for you (not AreToo! He's too plump).

If it's windows, no big, just put towels out to soak up the excess moisture temporarily, and talk to a local carpenter about replacing them or weather-stripping. Ours are also ancient and were probly cheap although I love them, but we have to replace them soon, they have dry rot in the frames. We dealt with leakage by weather-stripping. But we have less rain.

I'm full of good advice, aren't I? It's only 'cos I care.

You have no idea how much I appreciate the positive re-enforcement! You are the best! I got very brave/crazy and logged onto a windows replacement site and now have an appt for Fri to get an estimate... So, no enclosed porch, but maybe new windows....
