Lucy Update

I.

Late last night as I was reading in bed, Lucy joined me - actually she and 'Toonya and Buddy had been coming and going - not without some bad language - while Angel snoozed beside me. Lucy returned, with a less than successful leap, and so she sunk a claw into the (new) mattress and scrambled the rest of the way up... Only the claw was actually sunk into my foot! And the physics/geometry of the situation kept me from doing anythng until she'd made it to the top. Amazingly there was no blood, just much, much pain. (Equally amazing there were no after effects today.) Lucy, I said plaintively, but that was about it.

II.

Today, as I was trying to comb her and cut more matts out, I came across a tiny scab where I had been trimming yesterday.

Goes without saying which was more painful to moi, huh.
