The new blankies arrived yesterday - the "high tech" one - i.e., it has a cord - needs a "high tech" outlet! Oy, I'm old, my house is older! So I have to figure this out... And then there's the "impulse buy" - which is so tiny that only Cloud will fit, if I can persuade her to.... (So far, catnip hasn't done it.)

Can't you use an extension cord with a surge protector? That should have the right kind of outlet ...
I did warn you as how they never seem to like the expensive stuff one buys for them. Bandicoot likes the bath mat, Gustav wants a (rather smelly from plentiful cat-sleeping) pillow, and Gojira wants her fat Uncle Zeebs. Of course, should we ever turn on the heater they all want first dibs closest to it ...
