I was so happy to see your message today! You have been so much on my mind these last 32/48 hrs - every time I looked at an internet news site, the very first thing I saw was the LA fires, and how much worse they'd gotten... I'm still praying you're safe! Please keep us all updated....!

So far the fires are far away, but the air is filled with fire-smelling ash even so. I drove out to Mom's in Alhambra and the air was filled with the sooty remnants of the fires.
It has been hot and dry, but not so windy which may help the fire fighters.
