Blogging Lite Tonight

Human really did not intend to spend her 4 day Thanksgiving break being sick, but that was pretty much the way it happened:
On Thursday morning, the human used a brief spurt of energy to bake a (mostly) home-made pumpkin pie - Cloud helped by licking at the unbaked pie crust (thank goodness this was only for family)...
One morning AreToo first scared me and then made me laugh - so intent was he on bird watching that he toppled right off the dresser, and, obviously unhurt, so intent was he on bird watching that he didn't even go through the who-me-I meant-to-do-that-when-in-doubt-wash-routine - just jumped back up and looked back out the window.
Ms Nubia continues to mellow - she's gained a fair amount of weight - not that I'd call her plump yet - and her fun is absolutely gorgeous. She and Angel play together the most, which is probably a relief to everyone else...
Hope everyone had a good holiday! More to come...

Sinus Infection One

Human Zero... No, it's not quite that bad. And this is only day 3 of 21 days of antibiotics, so things are bound to get better. And a 4 day holiday won't hurt. The pictures just posted have been stacking up in the camera for weeks, with the batteries dying every time I wanted to post, so it was nice just now to put up a few... As I type almost everyone's asleep - 4 in the bedroom, Nubia in the computer room, Cloud in the living room and Lucy on the dining room table - AreToo's nowhere to be found, but since he was fine a while ago I won't panic. Much. Yet...

What Human Needs (Sniff)

An Almost Happy Ending

The human was unable to sleep, and so sat in bed reading in the company of her two most senior cats - Petunnia - most senior - on a fleecie beside me - with La Luz - numero dos - a little farther down... In comes Cyrrie! Totally oblivious of rank - or even first come first served - he plops himself in between the girls and starts to knead the fleecie. 'Toonya - not havin' it for a minute - goes for the smack but her claw is stuck in the fleecie and nothing happens. Mama is like... Ooo! Saved by the snag!! Unfortunately Petunnia managed to free herself, and Lucy joined in the smacking - none of which actually connected, but Cyrrie had to disappear from the bedroom for at least several minutes.

We're Back (Really)

So, all this week I've been sick and unable to sleep due to sore throat, coughing, body aches, etc. A couple of nights ago I almost drifted off, when the Angel decided he was bored. He got down off the bed and dug through the waste paper basket for a bit of crunchy, crackly celophane that had previously wrapped a throat lozenge. Crunch, as he playfully squashes his new toy. Crackle, as he carries it around in his sweet little mouf. Not! But the poor human was too sick to get up and fight with him, and besides, there were lots more where that came from, and we both knew it...

Full Moon

Amazingly large, amazingly brilliantly silver, amazingly beautiful, amazing...

It Might Snow Tonight!

(Scream...!) But I did get the porch plants in. And there was a catnip orgy... In order to get the cnip out of the plant hanger I had to cut it way back. Of course I brought the branches in for the guys to play with. (You should have seen the Angel, ecstatically hugging 3 or 4 branches - all longer than he is...)
