Morning Faux Paw

Human screwed up big time this morning. Our routine is this: human takes shower, and, wrapped in bathrobe, goes back to bed with a cup of coffee and something to read. Usually, Lucy shows up, to lapsit and knead the bathrobe (Mine! All mine!) This morning, finding AreToo lying right outside the bathroom door, the human scooped him up and took him to the bedroom for a cuddle. The look on Lucy's face when she trotted in expecting her quality time! Very gently the human eased AreToo off to one side and beckoned Lucy to come sit. There was a long pause, dreadful to the human's heart, but Lucy finally jumped up on the bed. Her kneadings were somewhat muted, however, and the human is still agonizing over her moment of thoughtlessness...
