This blog is the ongoing story of nine-hundred and twenty-two cats, including kittens. We consider on a near daily basis the poetics of cat sensibility - the wit, brilliance, elegance and magic of catdom. We try to ignore hairballs and their sound effects.

I like this picture and the way the lamp light softens it.
By the way, I have a lampshade just like that one -- I really like the scalloped edge. It sits right beside me at the computer, lighting my desk top.
Of course neither of them tipped it over. They're cats of sterling character, not known for the low, feline sport of lamp-tipping.
Sandy, did you mention when surgery was scheduled? I want to be sure to send you healing thoughts that day.
Lampshade was a gift from the GrandHuman... :) If I had to say who actually tipped it over, well, would it come as a surprise if I speculated that it was some one whose name began with ANGEL???
PoliticalCat and Lizzy -
First surgery is scheduled for Mon., Nov. 5 and the second is Mon., Nov. 19.
Thank you for your healing thoughts! Lately, I really am concentrating mostly on various cat blogs and getting laughs out of so many of them.
I meet a friend who has a political blog at a local Burger King every so often and he updates me on the political news of the day.
On another front, I found out my mother broke her hip today. It's such a shame because her 90th birthday celebration was to be later this month. I'm hopeful that she'll be o.k. Her own mother broker her hip at age 96 and was up and walking not too long after. She lived to be 100. I'll find out more after the surgery tomorrow.
Sometimes it seems that it never rains but it pours!
Even so, I've got a good support system and I love to come browse your sites to chuckle over the antics of 922 cats and kittens and Political Cat's various interests.
Thanks again - you guys are terrific!
