Home Blogging

Wouldn't you know it? A - relatively - minor crisis kept me at work an additional 45 or so min... But it is so good to get home to all 922 cats and "kittens" - and tomorrow I'm not working at all, so, Let's party, babies! (By which I mean, Let's cuddle and sleep way in....)

Poor little thing! I hope you caught up on your sleep. Luckily, cats excel in championship sleeping events, so your idea of a party happily coincided with theirs. Don't forget to post regular health updates, so everyone who worries about yours will know when to send good thoughts!

Lizzy - health updates will be appreciated, so we can know you're getting WELL, finally!

Lizzy and PC - did you watch the first night of the John Adams HBO series? I did with a couple of friends. It was fascinating. I'm looking forward to the rest of it.

Hi, Sandy,

La Casa de Los Gatos does not own a TV or have cable, so we don't get to see stuff like this. However, if you thought it was worth seeing, perhaps I can get a copy over at Netflix. Thanks for the rec!

Hi, Pc and Sandy - Wouldn't you know, I had a rather long response to your comments, but when I went to post it, found out our internet connection had gone down... So, let me try again: First of all, thank you so much for asking - it makes a difference! I don't know quite what to say about how I'm doing - I had a pretty bad day yesterday - and night - but I did make it in to work today. I think I'm just trying to hang on until Wednesday, when I get to see this new ent person. I've always been vulnerable to the respiratory stuff, but never had anything drag out like this before. I hope you're both staying well!

Oh, you poor little bun. You do know, or maybe you don't want to, that as we (of the female persuasion) get older our breathing capacity and lung function deteriorate. Which is why I'm worrying about you with all my might. Respiratory infections are harder to shake off, and hearing that you've been vulnerable to this makes me worry some more. (I'm a worrywart, didja notice?) Well, at least you're off to see the ENT. Please rest plenty, and remember, ginger is great for respiratory ailments, cooked. And in tea.

Eesh, I feel like your grandhuman (no, not your momma, who sounds really sweet, but your gramma). I'm sorry to be such a nag, Lizzy. If I was your neighbour, I'd leave you pretty much alone because I'm eremitic by nature. It's only because I'm not that I hound (cat?) you.

Many well thinkings.
