A Boyz Morning
I
I awoke to a horrific commotion, right at the foot of the bed. When I got there it was Cloud and Angel - she was carrying on something awful, and he was still moving in on her. He stopped when I clapped at him, but did not back down, and I literally had to chase him out of the room and down the hallway, with him stopping every few steps to try and get back around me. Cloud took the opportunity to zip behind us into the kitchen, and then Angel darted for the dining room, still determined to start something. I went through the kitchen, and met him on the dining room table - one of Cloud's haunts. I scooped him up and went back to bed. I cuddled him tightly for a long time and talked, scolded, reasoned, explained, pleaded, gave strict orders: Be good, be sweet! The whole time Angel was purring so loudly I suspect he never heard a word...

When I got up properly, AreToo was right there, purring, putting his little face up to be petted, a paw on my left hand while I rubbed his ears with my right, etc. We sat like this for a little while, and then all of a sudden I was aware of a tiny little under current of anxiety, and knew what it meant: an empty bowl situation in the kitchen, a double empty, in fact, because the tupperware bin that holds the crunchies had been emptied out late last night. It amounted to an empty bowl crisis! Come on, sweetie, let's go fix things, I said. And together we went into the kitchen. First we opened a new bag of crunchies, and Angel and Cyrrie showed up to watch. And then we poured into the tupperware - and Banshee and Buddy joined the crowd, while Cloud and 'Toonya watched from the dining room, and Lucy from the hall. Finally we filled all the bowls, and AreToo was relieved and happy and the hero of the hour!

Poor AreToo! Angel causes so much commotion, AreToo's relatively calm presence goes ignored. I love to hear bits and pieces about him, too.
Angel, try not to hog the spotlight too much. Give your brother a chance to shine, too!
