Stressful Season
Work is stressful - lots to do before classes start next Tuesday - and in some instances we're dependent on the expertise (and good will) of other departments...
The news gets you down, too - the ongoing wars - the health care mess - the seeming incompetence (corruption?) of Congress...
Natural disasters! The horrifying fire in Southern California (Sandy, how are you?), the hurricane (will some of that moisture make it far enough north to help with the fire?)...
And hate speech, threats of violence and the rebirth of overt racism in the country...
So what's a poor little catblogger to do? Meditate, when possible, on the sweet and good. For example, this morning: there were 3 of them snoozing in formation on the bed. Angel had the fleecie, Buddy had the quilt, and little Nubia had the sheet - they were all more or less pointed toward the window, and made me think of a little cat fleet, sailing in slumberland. (She is so good when she's asleep!)

Poor sweet lady! My heart goes out to you. You work so hard and stress so much! May the deity in whom you believe reward you with a winning lotto ticket so you can retire early and catblog to your heart's content!
Hey, hearing from you totally cheered me up! (A good thing, too, 'cause I can't win the lotto - never even bought one ticket, or whatever the terminology is...) :) Kinclou? Kinship ala the Cloudling??
It's called "paying the stupid tax." :D
How'zabout if I ever win, I'll share with you. Then we can both retire and blog about cats and food and gardens and all the other things we love. Love from todos los gatos at la casa, including teh political one!
Such a lovely thought! I just got through reading a letter of resignation from a 14 yr colleague/office-mate - and then your message popped up! Today was tough, tomorrow I have to work, but sometime this weekend 922s will post again...! Luv to Los Gatos!!
