A few days ago the human realized that one of her bracelets was missing. She hoped she'd lost it in house rather than elsewhere, but had not yet begun a serious search. I guess all's well that ends well, but are you sure your're not thanking the thief?
Ooops! Perfect example of bad writing on my part! What I should have said was, one of the bracelets I wear all the time! It might have snagged on something and come off in bed... (On the other hand, when they were babies they used to try to bite the bracelets - maybe, maybe, maybe....)
