Typical Morning

This morning there were senior and junior girls ranged across the dining room table top - Lucy on the corner where I'm always nervous she'll fall off, Cloud on the taller pile of blankies and Banshee the bBautiful in between. When you added the human girl and laptop, that made it even more crowded for the boyz who were coming and going, picking their way through the landmines of potentially grouchy siblings while eliciting pets from their human. The sun was beaming in, lighting up the floating silvery hairs that Currie was shedding just then, copiously.

Everything looks — and tastes — better with cat hair.

I stopped by another librarian's office, and before I left she was disposing of a long hair I'd shed on her desk - I get more like them day by day...

Ah, but was it one of yours or one of (one of) theirs?

Back when I was still ambulatory and working I would to to the office of this or that or the other person and they would spend a good few minutes picking the cat hairs off my clothing. And this was after a thorough rollering!

That cracked me up - I'll never forget when I offered a librarian from another college a ride to a conference - several hours away. After about 10 minutes in my car I found out she was hugely allergic - and however clean it looked, my car was deeply saturated with kittie cooties or such...
