It's All In Your Mind

Early this morning as I was waiting for the alarm clock, Angel - I thought - settled in on my stomach/chest. Sorry, sweetie, I said, I'm not going to be here long. Then I opened my eyes - and it was Petunnia - and she instantly weighed 3 times more than she had a moment before...

Happy belated New Year to Lizzy and PC and anyone else lurking around!

I had a better than average New Years (usually I've been alone with my computer, and not really minding it too much.) My sister was in L.A. for the Rose Bowl game. She and my brother and his wife and I took my Mom out to dinner at an Olive Garden Restaurant in Arcadia. We ran into slow, slow traffic on Huntington Drive and were excited to discover we were following a caravan of floats being maneuvered into position for the next morning's parade. They had a police escort, so shining lights and all preceded us.

I even had friends to visit afterwards. Saw a beautifully sweet movie with them called "Strictly Ballroom."

Hoping this year will treat every one of us with peace, health and well-being in abundance!

I've been taking a vacation from the political blogs lately, so I've been lurking at crafting and design blogs.

I also found a fascinating blog called "http://thepioneerwoman.com/." I never knew much about cattle ranching before. This woman has created a fascinating blog about life on a cattle ranch, home schooling 4 children under the age of 11, describing her romance eleven years ago with her husband (called "Marlboro Man") and how a woman who grew up on a golf course has adapted to life on the cattle range. She takes fabulous photographs of the people, scenes, activities and vistas around her, shares recipes and has contests with wonderful prizes.

Happy New Year!
